Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
This image was created for the CGSociety's NVArt "Design Fusion" competition. Entrants were to make an image that combines 2D and 3D elements. For this image, I modelled the small ships in Wings 3D, did the UV mapping in Roadkill, detailed and textured them in ZBrush 3.1, and rendered them with Maya 7 and mental ray. The background planets were also rendered in Maya with textures created in Photoshop CS and DarkTree Textures 2.51. The contrails (yes, I know that spaceships wouldn't leave contrails, but it's science-fiction) and the nebula were painted in Photoshop. I did a lot of other post-render tweaking in Photoshop as well.

Great image, though in your gallery just one of many.
I don't see that you'd have to call the plumes behind the spaceships "contrails" -- couldn't it just be exhaust (gas, plasma, whatever)? I don't intend to correct you, but rather to suggest that you don't have to make any excuses at all.
