"...for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so..."
--Hamlet, Act 2, Scene 2
Perhaps it is for the simple reason that we are living things that much that we label "good" relates to the sustenance of life, health, and order, and much that we deem "evil" relates to sickness, death, chaos, or disorder. Oddly, the well-ordered systems that are living things are intimately connected to the disorder that they resist, for we live in a universe that tends inevitably to greater and greater disorder. Every process, every biochemical reaction, that allows a living thing to be must cause disorder in the universe to an extent greater than that to which it orders the living thing in which it occurs; for it to do otherwise is thermodynamically impossible.
Despite the inevitable eventual death of all living things, despite the inevitable state of chaos to which the universe must progress, life tenaciously and stubbornly continues to spring forth.
The almost paradoxical relationship between life and the chaos it resists and creates inspired this work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
