For strict realism, it's always the details that make or break it. I really like the cartoony style in your 3D gallery, though.

Thanks. The toons are fun to make.

I'm trying to move away from the 80's idea of what a ship will look like, but when it comes to texturing, that's what we all know and love.

I do feel a bit like Jacques Cousteau (or at least a comedian doing a Cousteau impression) ought to be narrating this image. She eez a beautiful sheep, in vhich vhee are exploring zhee mysteries of zhee deep.
