A draft of yet another space ship, done in the student version of 3ds max 2011 and rendered with mental ray. I think the design might have been subconsciously inspired by one of the ships in Spacecraft: 2000 to 2100 AD.

I have that book! I always loved the ship designs from the Terran Trade Authority series. This definitely has the same feel to it.

It does look remarkably similar to one of the paintings, a lab ship I think from TTA. Excellent model you've made.
