Somehow I can see this as the borrowed ( read 'stolen') craft belonging to the nefarious ne'er-do-well of the Federation, that scoundrel, Harcourt Fenton (Harry) Mudd! If they want to do a Star Trek movie without the standard Enterprise crowd, then do one of Harry Mudd. Roger C. Carmel did such a great job of playing the character - both times! - that finding someone who comes close to pulling off that rascally personality will be a difficult task.
