Glaciers of Mt. Rainier by vmulligan Glaciers of Mt. Rainier by vmulligan
This was taken somewhere on the Muir snowfield on Mt. Rainier, in Washington state, looking up at the peak.  I believe I was somewhere around 8,000 ft, here, and the thin air was getting to me; shortly after snapping this, I had to turn back and accept that people who have lived all their lives at sea level aren't always cut out to climb mountains.  On the left and at the bottom is the Nisqually glacier, I think.

This was a 1/640th of a second exposure at ISO 100 and f/8.0, shot with a Canon Rebel T2i and a Canon 17-85 mm zoom lens, zoomed to 85 mm.  This image is not in the public domain.  You may not use it for any purpose without the permission of the copyright holder.  Image copyright © 2014 Vikram K. Ha, don't blame you for feeling that low-landers like yourself aren't cut out to hike up there. I live @ 5300+ ft work at about 8K+ ft in an physical job even so climbing serious altitude to many 14k peaks takes a real mental attitude to deal w/ discomfort. Great photo vmulligan!
