I've been playing around with Apophysis, a neat little program for generating "fractal flames" (scatter plots based on somewhat complicated mathematical rules that the program largely hides from the artist). This was rendered out with Apophysis, then retouched heavily with Photoshop CS.
Right now, the style of this piece resembles that of many of the other fractal artists on this site. I plan to use some of these fractal patterns with my 3D graphics in the future, and to develop them into a style more my own. Stay tuned for more pics.
Hello! I am commenting to inform you that you have been featured as part of my prize donation to *Valadix's GOLD contest! You can find your work in a blog entry of #Word-Wit as well as a journal entry of my own! Well done and thanks for entering the contest!
I love how you made this look so smooth, the colors are just right. Though, without the retouching this would not have been anything special more than likely. You need to learn to make more of a center focal. Very interesting job though
Well done and thanks for entering the contest!

TsukinoHikari20: Do you mean make more of a focal point when doing the fractal work, or stress a focal point more when doing the postprocessing?
